Notifications

From the home screen and within most apps, you can see the Notifications bar across the top of the screen. This bar displays information on the current status of your Apex.

  1. To expand the bar into the Notifications panel for more information, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    OR
    Press the Menu Key from the home screen and touch Notifications.
  2. Touch a notification to view it. The Notifications panel will close and the corresponding app (for example, Messaging for a new text message notification or Gmail for a new email notification) will open.
  3. To close the Notifications panel without touching a notification, press the Back Key .

 Status icons

The following icons indicate the status of your phone:

3G connected

3G in use

Roaming

Connected to a Wi-Fi network

No signal

Signal strength

Bluetooth is on

Connected to a Bluetooth device

Airplane mode

Alarm is set

No microSD card installed

Vibrate mode

Ringer is silenced

Phone microphone is muted

Speakerphone is on

GPS is on

Receiving location data from GPS

Battery is very low

Battery is low

Battery is partially drained

Battery is full

Battery is charging

Notification icons

The following icons indicate that you've received a notification:

New Gmail message

New text or multimedia message

Problem with text or multimedia message delivery

New Google Talk message

Call in progress

Call in progress using Bluetooth headset

Missed call

New voicemail

Upcoming event

Uploading data

Downloading data

Download finished

Data is syncing

Problem with sign-in or sync

microSD card is full

Song is playing

Connected to VPN

Disconnected from VPN

An open Wi-Fi network is available

Phone is connected via USB cable
