Setting up or signing in to a Google Account allows you to use the many useful Google apps on your Apex, such as Gmail™, Google Talk™, Google Calendar™, Android Market™, and more.
Important: Some applications, such as Calendar, work only with the first Google Account you add. If you plan to use more than one Google Account with your phone, be sure to sign in to the one you want to use with such applications first.
You will be prompted to sign in to or create a Google Account during the initial setup process. If you choose not to sign in at that time, you can do so later. You will be prompted to sign in to or create a Google Account the first time you start any application that requires one, such as Gmail or Android Market.
